LET'S BRING BACK THE GLORY!

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah. =)

Recently I visited to Taman Seni Islam at Section 10, Shah Alam. There were festival of Quran and Sunnah and Exhibition of Rasulullah's Swords being held simultaneously. What a fantastic event!

I've learnt a lot through the visit. One thing which had really touched me is when I entered a replica of Rasulullah's house built in the museum. He lead such a very simple life. Living in a small house and wearing clothes made of hard clothes did not prevent him from being such an outstanding leader who was not only succeeded in shifting paradigm of society but also in inviting people to be committed in religious practice. The small house is the place where great leaders were born and shaped.

When I saw the long and huge swords in front of me, I was in awe. Speechless. I could feel the spirit of mujaheed within me. Yeah, it's actually within us! Because we are half-blood fighters! Subhanallah, indeed our Muslim army are the best army! Therefore, in today's challenging world we must not go down. We were the one who conquered two-third of the world a long time ago, so we must bring back the glory of our ummah! InsyaAllah, we're the best ummah if we stand firm with the teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

So, today's lesson is to be an outstanding leader, we must learn from Rasulullah (peace be upon him) and learn from the previous Muslim scholars. 

Learn from Islamic history and let's bring back the glory!!!

KILL THE TIME OR YOU WILL BE KILLED?

In the name of Allah the Creator of this Universe, the Greatest and the All-knowing.

By time. [1] Indeed, mankind is in loss. [2] Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. [3]

So, how are you, brothers and sisters? How's imaan? May Allah bless us. In today's post, I'd love to share my thoughts specifically about the precious time we "own". Perhaps some of us are used to an English idiom, "Time and tide waits for no man." But do we really practise its philosophy in our daily lives?

Look, I believe most of us are used to hear people say, "Oh my God, I've so much things to be done! What the *** I'm so busy right now! ergh..." or maybe, "Haish, I'm running out of time." or "I haven't given enough time to finish this task. So, it's not my fault."

But don't we realize that it is just a matter of giving excuses?? Imam Hassan Al-Banna had once said, "The duties of da'wah (preaching) are always more than the time that we have." So, one may think that he/she doesn't have enough time to do something but beware, it mustn't be an excuse for one not to do righteous deeds.

WHY??

Because each of us has "DEAD TIME" which is not being fully utilized. What's DEAD TIME?

DEAD TIME is a short period in every day lives that is not used up to maximum. For example, the time when we are waiting for bus, when we are stuck in a traffic jam, while having meals, waiting for ordered meals, while cooking, or while wearing clothes before going to office and etc. You may list it yourself...

Usually, we don't need to be highly focused while doing such things. That's why we call it as DEAD TIME because we usually don't use our maximum capability at that time. Therefore to be a wiser man, we should fully utilize it by "adding value" to it. HOW?

Let me give you some suggestions...

We may listen to a motivational talk on the radio while driving. 

We may listen to a recorded lecture / MP3 notes while wearing clothes. 

We may read a book / notes summary while waiting for bus. 

We may read a newspaper / watch beneficial television programme while having meals. 

We may jot down a to-do list while waiting for ordered meals... 

OR at least one may recite doa' or zikrullah if one is so lethargic and just want to get some rest.

So, by doing such things, actually we have optimized our most precious gift from God - TIME 24-hour a day. Don't we??? Indeed, it is essential for all of us to read, understand and transform the words of wisdom in the Holy Quran into a repeated action which then become our habit. InsyaAllah.

All knowledge is ALLAH's. So, all praises be made to Him. May Allah guide us to the right path. Amiin.

So, I advise you and myself...

KILL THE TIME NOW! OR YOU WILL BE KILLED...

HIJRAH TOWARDS EXCELLENCE

In the name of Allah the Most Gracious & the Most Compassionate.

Alhamdulillah, it has been about two months studying at UiTM Kuala Pilah. Now, I'm enjoying my mid-term holidays for one week. I doubt if there's still any blog reader out there who's following my scratch of posts. In this post, I'd like to share my new experience which I got during my "hijrah".

One thing that surely one will learn once going out of comfort zone is to be GRATEFUL. As time passed, I realized, to become someone with strong character was not as easy as ABC. We used to ask God to give us the strength to persevere but rarely we got what we wanted. When we asked for strength, God gave us difficulties to  face. God gives none of what we wanted but He gives everything of what we needed. Facing difficulties is like a  man who is trying to swim in crashing waves every day, and lastly he manages to build muscles in his body and become a STRONG man.

I've learnt to be more grateful as I met people who were less fortunate than me. At least I still have parents although I'm not from a silver spoon background. I learnt to appreciate everything given by Allah even though there were times that I was really in suffering, hoping someone will lend me a helping hand. But at last, yeah, isn't that enough for us to be helped and protected by Allah alone? At that moment, I started to think, actually to have Allah by our side all the time is more than enough. Allah is near and He listens to our prayer. Just have faith and believe. His mercy is endless...

Frankly say, I'm so grateful to be here. Although at first, I felt quite inferior as I saw most of my acquaintances  were preparing for degree, while I chose a completely different way. After making wise judgement, I think this is the best decision I could make in order to achieve my goals. Let people underestimate us, who cares? We are the one who choose to be a successful or vice versa. Are you gaining knowledge for the sake of Allah or for the sake of glory??? If it is for the sake of Allah, why must we worry about people's thoughts?

So, after pondering for a long time, I believe that in order to build such a "high tower" we must start building it with a very strong basement or else the tower will not become stable and long lasting. It is just a parable for whom wanted to reach an outstanding level. I'm one of it, so I take it as a challenge. I started from the basic and must ensure my "basement" is very strong to bear the "high tower" of my dreams. InsyaAllah.

I wish my thoughts and experience could be a good lesson for others.  See you at the top!
